A tad pricey but definitely worth it! The food was tasty and well presented. I thought I might have made a bad choice by ordering a fish starter and a fish main dish but both were excellent! The 'cockle popcorn' starter was interesting and I was half expecting it to crackle in my mouth like popping candy. The fish trio for main course was cooked to perfection and has left me wondering why I can never seem to master cooking fish at home? And the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was simply divine - too tasty to share with my other half who I think regretted saying no to dessert after mine arrived. The wine was nice too, and as always, I was a little tipsy on leaving the restaurant!
As this restaurant is notoriously small, some may describe it as 'cramped'. I would describe it as 'cosy and intimate'. In fact, being a restaurant so small has its advantages sometimes, especially when celebrities are dining in the same room. Port Talbot's very own Michael Sheen was sat just a few feet away from us! I couldn't stop looking over at him, and he was even kind enough to spare five minutes to chat with us at the end of our meal and have his picture taken with us. This has to be the highlight of my evening - I was STAR STRUCK!!!
I would definitely like to eat again at this restaurant in the future. Praise all round for the food and drinks from everyone else in my party too. Great food, great company, great night :-)
